Caring for Your Bags:

Below, we present a series of tips to keep your bags in optimal condition.

  1. Proper Storage:

    • Use Bakari flannel bags to store your bags. Their soft interior protects against scratches, and their exterior prevents contact with other items.

  2. Maintain Shape:

    • If you don't use your bag for a while, stuff it with onion skin paper to prevent deformation. Avoid using magazines or newspapers as they can stain the interior.

  3. Avoid Pressure:

    • Do not stack your bags. Store them in their original shape, without pressing or folding them.

  4. Protection from Sun and Humidity:

    • Keep your bags away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity. Prolonged exposure can alter the color and cause the leather to crack over time.

  5. Care on Rainy Days:

    • If your bag gets wet, dry it with a white cotton cloth and leave it in a well-ventilated place. Avoid using hairdryers or heat sources.

  6. Weight and Daily Use:

    • Don't overload your bag to avoid deformation of the handles. Store cosmetics or perfumes in a toiletry bag to protect the interior lining.

  7. Correct Placement:

    • When you get home, place your bag on a flat surface instead of hanging it to keep its handles in perfect condition.

  8. Leather Moisturizer:

    • Moisturize your bags two or three times a year with specialized leather products like Nupel. A regular moisturizer can also be effective. Test the product on an inconspicuous area before applying it fully, as it may slightly darken the leather color.

  9. Daily Cleaning:

    • For daily cleaning, use a dry, white cotton cloth, gently wiping it over the surface of the bag.

  10. Suede Care:

    • Suede products require specific care. Use sprays and moisture protectants and clean with a soft-bristled brush.

  11. Wood Care:

    • Wipe the wooden details with a dry cloth. To maintain the shine and quality, apply special oil or eco-friendly wood wax every 6 months. Avoid contact with water and harsh chemicals.
